Bangkok: Anutin Charnvirakul, the Prime Minister and leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, conducted a lively campaign walk at the Chatuchak Weekend Market, inviting Ekniti Nitithanprapha and Supajee Suthamphan to join him. The campaign trail included a stop to buy leather shoes, after which Anutin changed from his Bhumjaithai Party jacket into a floral-patterned shirt. The event attracted vendors, locals, and tourists who gathered around to take photos and express their support for his bid to become Prime Minister once more. The campaign continued with a journey on the BTS Skytrain to Siam station.
According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister Anutin, accompanied by Mrs. Supajee Suthamphan, Mr. Ekniti Nitithanprapha, and other party leaders, including Mr. Ekanat Promphan and Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, as well as Bhumjaithai Party parliamentary candidates, walked from Or Tor Kor Market to Chatuchak Weekend Market. Their destination was Mo Chit BTS station, from which they proceeded to Siam Square. The vibrant atmosphere was marked by enthusiastic greetings and photo requests from vendors, locals, and tourists. Many in the crowd expressed their hopes that Anutin would continue the "Half-Price Plus" co-payment scheme if re-elected.
During the walk through the market, Anutin purchased a pair of black leather shoes from a Thai brand for 2,490 baht, using a QR code for payment, and immediately switched into them. He also bought a floral shirt and shorts, removing his party jacket to wear the floral shirt due to the warm weather.
Later, Anutin's wife, Ms. Thanon Niramit, joined the group after purchasing a shirt with the same design as Anutin's. The Bhumjaithai Party leaders spent nearly two hours at Chatuchak Market, and along the way, they posed for pictures with a campaign poster promoting a new opportunity. Anutin playfully mentioned sending the photo to Mr. Jatuporn Buruspat.
When queried about the possibility of forming a coalition government, Anutin chose not to respond and instead led the group aboard the BTS Skytrain towards Siam Square One.
Reporters noted that during the market visit, besides Anutin's shoe and clothing purchases, Mrs. Supajee also acquired a Thai brand of leather shoes and a backpack, while Ms. Sabida Thaiseth bought cotton clothing.
