Bangkok: The Prime Minister expressed his contentment regarding the parole of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra. He acknowledged the decision by stating he was "happy" about the development but refrained from commenting on whether he would pay a visit to the former leader.
According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul made these remarks when questioned by reporters about Thaksin's release and his return to his residence, Chansongla. Anutin simply stated, "Oh, I'm happy," and chose not to disclose any plans concerning a possible visit. Following his brief response, Anutin proceeded to the Phakdi Bodin Building to lead the National Committee meeting, which is focused on preparations for the 1st Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, scheduled for 2026.
