Bangkok: Anucha Chulanon, alongside Abhisit Vejjajiva, led the Democrat Party's Bangkok team on a campaign tour through the Sukhumvit area. Anucha expressed confidence in the Democrat Party's standing, asserting that the party remains the people's hope despite trailing in popularity. He noted the increasing eagerness for elections among the public after the unveiling of various candidates.
According to Thai News Agency, Anucha Burapachaisri, the prospective Bangkok gubernatorial candidate, teamed up with party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva, Ongart Klamphaiboon, Korn Chatikavanij, and Sakoltee Phatthiyakul to survey Sukhumvit Soi 4 and the sidewalks along Sukhumvit Soi 5-11. Anucha addressed concerns about lagging in opinion polls, emphasizing that the ultimate decision lies with the people of Bangkok. He highlighted that with more candidates entering the race, there is a renewed enthusiasm to vote, indicating a belief that the city can achieve more. Anucha affirmed that the Democrat Party has consistently been a beacon of hope for the people, underscoring the importance of campaigning and presenting future policies.
During their tour, Abhisit, Anucha, and their team engaged with motorcycle taxi drivers to discuss the impact of rising fuel prices on their income and their experiences with government relief funds. Drivers reported reduced income but managed to earn around 500 baht per day. Some had already received government relief funds after registering in time.
While observing the tangled overhead communication cables, Anucha pointed out that addressing this issue is crucial for ensuring road safety and enhancing the cityscape's aesthetic appeal.
