Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul Engages with Locals at Sriyan Market to Promote “Thai Helps Thai Plus” Campaign

Bangkok: The Prime Minister visited Sriyan Market to check on the popularity of the "Thai Helps Thai Plus" campaign. Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, who also serves as the Minister of Interior, was accompanied by Ms. Traisuli Traisaranakul, Secretary to the Prime Minister. The visit aimed to meet with the public and assess the response to the "Thai Chuay Thai Plus 60/40" project.

According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister's visit was live-streamed on his personal Facebook page, showcasing his interactions with the locals. During his time at the market, the Prime Minister bought fruit from his regular shop, using the "Thai Chuay Thai Plus" project for payment. He greeted the public and continued shopping, making purchases such as canned rambutan from a grocery store. The project's effectiveness was evident as people expressed their appreciation and actively engaged with the Prime Minister, with many requesting photos.

The Prime Minister's itinerary also included a visit to Jiu Fishball Shop in Yaowarat, a participant in the Thai Help Thai Plus project. There, he posed for photos with the shop owner, making the "Plus" gesture. His shopping spree continued at a kitchenware shop, where he purchased Zebra brand stainless steel spoons and a shoe box, paying in cash. He also bought a pink milk drink from a local coffee shop and durian to distribute to motorcycle taxi drivers. Throughout the visit, he maintained a friendly demeanor, chatting with business owners and customers and receiving words of encouragement from the public.
