Search Mission Successfully Locates Young Boy After 30-Hour Ordeal

Accra:Kalasin A prolonged search effort has concluded with the successful location of "Nong Boss," a 7-year-old boy who went missing from a rice field in Ban Kud Bod, Khao Wong District. The boy had disappeared after accompanying his grandparents to work in the rice paddies on October 18th.

According to Thai News Agency, the search involved over 200 participants, including officials, rescue teams, and volunteer villagers, who fanned out to thoroughly search the area. The mission ended when villagers in the Ban Kaeng Nang area of Kok Tum Subdistrict, Dong Luang District, Mukdahan Province, found the boy wandering alone. This location is more than 30 kilometers from where he was last seen.

The Muang Hin rescue team, accompanied by Nong Boss's father, Mr. Preeda, traveled to retrieve the child. They transported him to Khao Wong Hospital for medical examination and psychological assessment, as he was exhausted and frightened when found.

Nong Boss recounted that he had chased a dog that took his shoe, causing him to lose his way and become lost in the forest. He eventually encountered local villagers by a stream. They provided him with food and water before contacting authorities. The boy was then safely returned to his family, bringing relief to those involved in the search.
