Thai Ministry Issues Guidelines for Citizens Amid European Protests

Accra:The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued guidelines for Thai citizens in Europe due to concerns over ongoing protests and riots in several areas, which may spread to other regions. The ministry provides five key recommendations and 24-hour emergency contact information for those in or traveling to affected areas.

According to Thai News Agency, the Ministry advises Thai citizens to closely monitor announcements from local authorities and their nearest embassy or consulate general. They should ensure that their passports and important documents have sufficient validity and are easily accessible in emergencies. Citizens are urged to avoid traveling to high-risk areas identified by local authorities and to register their residence information in advance through the Thai Consular Assistance system.

For Thai citizens planning to travel to Europe, it is recommended to stay updated on news and information before making any travel decisions. In case of emergencies or the need for assistance, individuals can contact the Embassy/Consulate-General in their area, or reach out to the Department of Consular Affairs Call Center at (+66) 2 572 8442, which operates 24 hours a day, or use the THAI CONSULAR application.
