Prime Minister Advocates Stronger Thailand-Japan Ties at Emperor’s Birthday Celebration

Bangkok: The Prime Minister attended the celebrations for the Emperor of Japan's birthday, underscoring the enduring friendship between Thailand and Japan while looking forward to the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations. Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul was present at the reception for the 66th birthday of the Emperor of Japan, welcomed by His Excellency Mr. Otaka Masato, Japanese Ambassador to Thailand.

According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister extended congratulations on behalf of the Thai government and people to His Majesty the Emperor of Japan, wishing him good health and happiness. He also conveyed his best wishes to the Japanese people for sustained peace, stability, and prosperity. The relationship between the two countries is described as strong and founded on trust and understanding, involving close ties between their royal families and cooperative efforts between their governments and private sectors.

In a complex global environment, both nations are committed to upholding open and rules-based regional regulations while promoting security and stability in the Indo-Pacific region to foster shared prosperity. He expressed hopes for future meetings to enhance cooperation and share their mutual appreciation for music.
