Bangkok: Gold prices surged 850 baht at the opening of the market today, reflecting a volatile start to the trading day. The Gold Traders Association reported an initial increase in prices, causing an immediate impact on the market.
According to Thai News Agency, the first price announcement came at 9:07 AM, showing an increase of 850 baht. This adjustment pushed the price of gold bars to 72,450 baht per baht. However, by 9:30 AM, the second announcement reported a decrease of 50 baht, adjusting the selling price of gold bars to 72,400 baht per baht and gold ornaments to 73,200 baht per baht.
These rapid changes highlight the fluctuating nature of gold prices in the current market, with traders needing to stay alert to the ongoing adjustments.
