Anutin” asks the Prime Minister to bring the “Minister of Finance” to sit as the “Chairman of the Informal Debt Resolution Committee”, indicating that the Ministry of Interior has completed the mediation process. From now on, it is a task to find a source of borrowing funds.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul said about the progress in solving the informal debt problem that the Ministry of Interior has already done as assigned. Recently, both district chiefs and police have paired creditors with debtors. There has been complete mediation. Some of it has gone to the law, but almost all of it has been discussed. The next problem is finding a source of money for debtors to borrow to pay off their debts at low interest rates. The Prime Minister has already thought that the interest rate should not exceed 2.5% per month. Regarding the budget, we have to discuss it with the Ministry of Finance.
‘I have told the Prime Minister that I would like to resign from being the chairman bec
ause I have already done my own thing. From now on, it is a matter that requires the authority of the Ministry of Finance. The Minister of Finance should be the chairman so that he has the power to manage because the Minister of Interior cannot order financial institutions. Therefore, the work from now on should be the responsibility of the Minister of Finance. I proposed it to the Prime Minister. He was considerate because he saw that I was the chairman. But I certainly did not mind because my period was over. From now on, the work from now on must use the Ministry of Finance. Please be the chairman. As for me, I will supervise and coordinate the matters of creditors and debtors to create peace and order,’ said Mr. Anutin. 317 .-Thai News Agency
